GTFC Merges with PSC Impact

The Greater Toledo Futbol Club and PSC Impact are excited to join forces to provide Northwest Ohio and Southern Michigan with the area’s only all girls soccer club. The clubs, now known collectively as GTFC Impact will provide three levels of play (Premier, Select and Competitive) for all 11 vs. 11 age groups U13 – U18. The club operates out of the Route 199 fields in Perrysburg for training and home games. All GTFC teams U12 and younger will also be known as GTFC Impact and will fall under the same banner as the 11 vs. 11. teams.

In the last few years more and more clubs have been popping up and it seems that the talent pool, coaching and resources of our area continue to get stretched thinner and thinner. This merger allows the areas two strongest and most stable clubs to join forces, share resources and bring more good players together for a common goal. We will provide a great soccer experience and professional coaching for players of every level from the college bound athlete to the multi-sport player and everyone in between.

Mike Aubry, Director of Coaching, confirms that the merger is a great opportunity for both clubs. “Impact offers some things that GTFC needs and GTFC offers some things that Impact needs for both clubs to take that next step forward. Rather than continue to compete against each other it makes perfect sense to work together. I could not be more excited to usher GTFC into this new era with the Impact family and Jorge Diaz. We are excited to begin the next leg of our journey and we are appreciative of the support of the Perrysburg community which has been my home for over 30 years.”

Executive Director, Jorge Diaz, follows Mike’s sentiment. “I believe that this is the perfect relationship for all of our kids. Mike and I have worked together for the last couple of years and every time our combined efforts have found success. The time is right for both of our clubs to come together and share that success over the long term. I’m excited to coach with Mike and I’m excited to be a part of the GTFC Impact family.”

There is no doubt that this announcement will change the face of girls soccer in Northwest Ohio for the better. GTFC Impact officially begins operations at the June tryouts.
